They are seeking a Production Manager to execute the approved plan to meet the production volume, quality, and safety standards for the hazardous plant; coordinate with the maintenance department to implement the preventive maintenance plan and minimise process breakdowns; collaborate with the Safety Manager for all safety-related production and maintenance issues; and align with the Technical team and Plant Manager to follow up on improvements and modifications, as well as sharing process variables, issues, and recommendations to ensure safe operations.
You will
- The Production Manager is accountable for safety within the production department, ensuring that the production team and processes comply with safety regulations and norms.
- Align with the Plant Manager to implement the production plan and related actions to meet volume and quality targets for oil and meal.
- Organize material intake details with the shift in charge according to the production plan, and monitor the oil storage area to ensure timely oil transfer with confirmed quantity and quality.
- Ensure that all daily and monthly reports on production, utility consumption, and maintenance downtime are prepared in a timely manner for submission to the Plant Manager.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager to execute all preventive maintenance plans and procure spare parts.
- Monitor daily maintenance reports and collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure optimal performance and minimize plant downtime.
- Ensure continuous development of all team members through training, coaching, and encouragement, with a particular focus on hazardous plant operations, compliance with HSE and GMP standards, and maintaining and improving internal process control, environmental management, and food and employee safety.
- Investigate operational problems, analyze modification proposals from shift supervisors, and assist the Plant Manager in implementing these modifications for smooth operations.
- Develop and periodically review plant SOPs to maintain healthy operations and ensure compliance with all relevant standards.
- Coordinate with the logistics and engineering departments to ensure a minimum stock of plant consumables.
You have
- Engineering Degree, preferably in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Have a minimum of 10 years of experience as a Production/Process Manager in large Solvent Extraction Plants with a capacity of over 1000 tons per day.
- Experience with modern solvent extraction technology is considered an added advantage.
- Fluency in English both oral and written (B2-C1)
