As a a seasoned Senior Manager, Business Operations within the Global Expansion & Payment Partnerships (GEPP) team, you will lead the Business Operations unit. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the GEPP team by streamlining day-to-day activities, enhancing operational effectiveness, and driving strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning, project management, and the coordination of essential team tasks to support our Client’s global expansion and partnership goals.

You will

  • Operational Management: Develop and implement operating procedures for the GEPP team to ensure consistency and efficiency in daily operations.
  • Team Coordination: Oversee the coordination of team activities, including the scheduling and management of GEPP review sessions, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage cross-functional projects within the GEPP team, from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Budgeting & Reporting: Coordinate the budgeting process for the GEPP team, monitor financial performance, and prepare regular reports to track progress against objectives.
  • Team Reporting: Coordinate various reporting such as weekly or monthly activity reporting & board reporting for the team
  • Internal Audits: Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of the GEPP team’s operations and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Strategic Planning: Work closely with senior leadership to develop and execute strategies that support our Client’s expansion and partnership goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding GEPP team operations, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the GEPP team.

You have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10+ years in payments either at a Financial Institution or Fintech Gravitas and strong presentation skills
  • Strong C-level executive relationships with customers and industry thought leaders
  • Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts, and translate them into industry- or business-relevant terms
  • Bureau/CUP-China Union Pay/UPI-Unified Payments Interface acquiring implementations or 3rd Party Acquiring partnerships commercials and implementation desired.
  • Experience or strong understanding of Regulatory frameworks and application process for Payment licenses.
  • Expertise in payments, financial services and / or local payment method
  • Excellent project management skills (Project management certification is plus)
  • Authorisation to work in Nigeria without sponsorship
